Gulf Shores Condo Rental
The Wyckoff's Southern Charm Condo on the Beach |
You are about to reserve our luxurious condo 14 floors above one of the most beautiful beaches in America. Let me describe it for you. It is 1,150 square feet, not including the balcony. We have gone to considerable lengths to decorate our condo to be soothing, comfortable, and pleasing to the eye. The ceilings are all 9 feet high, so there is a great feeling of space and serenity. It has two bedrooms, each with their own full bath. The master bedroom has a sliding glass door onto the balcony and the guest bedroom has a window overlooking the lagoon and IntraCoastal waterway. The kitchen has granite countertops and is completely outfitted with all the modern appliances as well as a full selection of new dinnerware, glassware, cooking utensils and pots and pans. The master bedroom has a king-size bed and the guest bedroom has a queen. The living room sofa folds out into a double bed. The dining room has a table set for four, but can easily accommodate six. The living room comfortably seats six in soft comfort and has a ten-foot wide sliding glass door/window onto the balcony and overlooks the Gulf. The Penthouse, being so high above the ground, enjoys almost total quiet except for the soothing sound of the surf. All noise from the beach and the pool are (almost) too far below you to be heard. The building is of concrete construction, so there is virtually no noise from your neighbors, above, below, or on the sides. the building was only finished in 2002, so everything is brand new. It is perfect!

If you've vacationed at Gulf Shores before, you can skip the next paragraph. In fact, you can go directly to the reservations page.
If you've never been, let me describe it. We've been coming here for 20 years and know the place well. there is no better beach in America pure white sand, warm ocean breezes, and the weather here is better than any other place we've ever been to, year 'round. In the summer, the breezes off the Gulf keep the temperatures in the high 80's most of the time. In the winter, although it may not be sunny every day, the average high temperature is in the 60's. The fall and spring are typically pleasant with temperatures hovering around 75. The Gulf is "swim-able" nearly year 'round with the best temperatures (low 80's) achieved in the summer months, starting in May. The food in the area is fabulous and relatively cheap. If you've never had scallops or crab pulled out of the briny deep only hours before you ordered it, you're in for a treat. If you thought you didn't like seafood, this place will change your mind. The Gulf coast is a place rich in history and historical attractions for those so inclined. The ancient city of Mobile (second-oldest city in America and the site of America's first Mardi Gras) is only an hour or so away with easily a couple of day's worth of attractions. Just down the beach boulevard a mile or two is a state park where you can investigate the natural history of the area. See our page on "things to do" for even more ideas. The combination of sun, sea-air, salty water, and humidity will make you feel (and look) decades younger in a matter of a week or two. We know, believe me. If you want the "full cure", we'd recommend staying a month... that's what we do.
